Petitioner Michael Hirsh filed a petition for a writ of habeas corpus, pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254, challenging a judgment from Oswego County Court, convicting him, upon a jury verdict, of one count each of criminal possession of marihuana in the second degree (N.Y.
