Defendant (Appellant) was charged with the commission of a robbery while armed, Ind. Code § 35-12-1-1 (Burns 1975), and kidnapping, Ind. Code § 35-1-55-1 (Burns 1975). After trial by jury, he was acquitted on the kidnapping charge but was found guilty of armed robbery, and sentenced to fifteen years imprisonment.
