This is a criminal action brought by a private citizen, Evette Utley-Williams (“Complainant”), against a United States Postal Service inspector, Michael Bazin, for harassment and simple assault allegedly oc curring during the course of Bazin’s employment on July 11,1995. As a result of a theft of $70,000 in cash from the Trenton Post Office in Hamilton Township, New Jersey in May, 1995, Defendant and several other postal inspectors began an investigation.
