I will in the first place dispose of legal questions which were propounded to me during the course, of the trial. Some *693of them have not been seriously pressed, but as they have been raised I feel that I should dispose of them. 1. Letters admittedly written by the defendant, Mrs. Atha, and the co-respondent, Dr. Dias, were offered in evidence. Objection was made by counsel for the co-respondent on the ground that either before or after the letters were turned over to Mr. Atha money was paid by Mr. Atha to the persons in possession of these letters.
