In this appeal from convictions of aggravated rape and kidnapping we face once more a situation where, but for the prosecutor’s failure to stay within the bounds of proper closing argument, the defendant’s appeal could have been dealt with in a summary manner. Instead, we must witness another prosecutor “snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.” Commonwealth v. Kozec, 21 Mass. App. Ct. 355, 366 (1985) (Brown, J., concurring), S.C., 399 Mass. 514 (1987).
