In October, 1982, petitioner’s license to practice medicine was summarily suspended by the Michigan Board of Medicine. Petitioner was suspended after he was charged with violating the provisions of the Public Health Code, MCL 333.1101 et seq.; MSA 14.15(1101) et seq. Specifically, petitioner was charged with selling prescriptions for controlled substances and false work excuses. The complaint also alleged that petitioner failed to keep adequate medical records.
