The question in this case is whether the appellants, by accepting the deed the referee tendered to them, and paying the purchase-money, would obtain a good title in fee simple to the premises in question.
Leffert Lefferts, in his lifetime, owned what was then regarded as a farm, containing about eighty-five acres, in the vicinity of Brooklyn, embracing the land in question in fee.
