This was an action for damages by the appellee against the appellant, based upon an alleged assault and battery. The complaint was in one paragraph, to which the appellant filed his answer in two paragraphs; the first being a' general denial and the second being based upon the theory of self-defense. To the said second paragraph, the appellee filed a reply in general denial. Upon the issues thus formed, the case was tried before a jury, resulting in a verdict for the appellee against the appellant in the sum of $1,500.00.
