HANNA, Judge.

The defendant, Robert President, was charged with two counts of first degree assault of a law enforcement officer, § 565.081, RSMo 1994, two counts of armed criminal action, § 571.015, RSMo 1994, and one count of possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, § 195.211, RSMo 1994.

The defendant pleaded guilty to two counts of first degree attempted assault of a law enforcement officer and possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell. In exchange for this guilty plea, the state dismissed the remaining charges and recommended that the defendant be sentenced to…
