Error from Douglas District Court. On the 10th of April, 1867, Edwin W. Hand paid, his fare and took passage in the cars of the Union Pacific Roilway Company, at Junction City, for the purpose of going to Manhattan. The facts necessary to understand it are these: The verdict in the case was returned and judgment entered thereon on Saturday the 5th of December, and at the close of the day the court adjourned to Monday, the 7th; but neither on Monday, the 7th, nor on Tuesday, the 8th, was any court held, the district judge being absent.
