This is an interlocutory appeal by the State, pursuant to K.S.A. 1979 Supp. 22-3603, from the district court’s order suppressing the results of a blood test.

During the early morning hours of July 15, 1978, Trooper Fred Waller of the Kansas Highway Patrol responded to a report of an injury accident occurring approximately ten miles south of Lawrence. Upon arriving at the scene of the accident, Waller observed two vehicles which were extensively damaged. The occupants of one of the vehicles, two young women, were deceased.
