BRIGHT, Senior Circuit Judge.
Raymond Smith, an Arkansas inmate, appeals the district court’s grant of summary judgment for defendant Dr. W.R. Oglesby, *92a psychiatrist for the Arkansas Department of Correction, in this action under 42 U.S.C. § 1983. On appeal, Smith contends that a material factual dispute exists as to whether Dr. Oglesby is denying him necessary medical treatment for his mental illness. We reverse and remand for further proceedings.
