Town of Barnstead, N.H., Paul Poirier, and Diane Beijer, Defendants O R D E R In January of 2019, James Sullivan was hired as a Detective Sergeant by the Barnstead Police Department. At a public hearing conducted on June 22, 2021, the Barnstead Select Board voted to terminate his employment. This litigation followed.
