Justice GOLDBERG, for the Court.

The defendant, Cory J. Roberts, appeals from a decision arising from a motion to correct a sentence of imprisonment that was executed after a finding of probation violation. In this procedurally challenging case, the defendant contends that the trial justice who presided over his 2004 probation-revocation hearing erroneously stayed the execution of ten years of a previously suspended fifteen-year sentence.
