POSNER, Circuit Judge.

In United States v. Kairys, 782 F.2d 1374 (7th Cir.1986)—familiarity with which is assumed in this opinion — a different panel of this court upheld the revocation of Liúdas Kairys’s American citizenship because, having been an armed guard in a Nazi concentration camp, he had not been eligible to become a naturalized citizen of this country. The government then instituted deportation proceedings.
