Plaintiff brought this action pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 405(g) to obtain judicial review of a final decision of the Secretary of Health and Human Services (the Secretary) denying her claim for disability insurance benefits. Plaintiffs claim was disallowed initially and upon reconsideration. Plaintiff requested a hearing before an Administrative Law Judge (AU), which resulted in a decision by the AU affirming the Secretary’s previous determination.
