The plaintiff, Donald Hipsky, filed this action in the Connecticut Superior Court against the defendant, Allstate Insurance Company (“Allstate”) and it was subsequently removed to this Court. 1 The First Amended Complaint asserts the following four counts, all related to Allstate’s efforts to settle Hipsky’s claim arising from an automobile accident with an Allstate insured: (1) breach of an implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing, (2) violations of the Connecticut Unfair Insurance Practices Act (“CUIPA”) and the…
