This action is brought by plaintiff in error against the defendant in error to recover damages • for slanderous, defamatory and insulting words alleged to have been used by defendant in error of and concerning plaintiff in error and members of his family, particularly of and concerning his son, Melvin, on divers occasions and. in *769the presence of certain named persons and divers other good .and worthy citizens of the Commonwealth.
