*511 This case involves a dispute regarding the meaning of the phrase "in or affecting commerce" as used in North Carolina's Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practices Act ("UDTPA"). Richard C. Alexander ("Defendant") appeals from a default judgment entered in favor of Eric Carl Alexander ("Plaintiff") on his claims for breach of fiduciary duty, unjust enrichment, and unfair and deceptive trade practices under the UDTPA.
