The invention defined in the two counts of this interference is briefly described in the decision of the Board of Interference Examiners as follows:

This interference relates to powder metallurgy and is particularly concerned with the production of steel powders for use in the manufacture of steel objects by compressing and sintering the powder. One of the essential characteristics of a- satisfactory powder for this use is that the powder be compressible into a strongly coherent mass of the desired shape.
