A local option election was held in Calhoun County, Arkansas, on November 3, 1964, and the certified vote showed 1,118 for and 1,128 against the manufacture and sale of intoxicating liquors.

A petition contesting results of the election was filed in the County Court of Calhoun County on November 17, 1964, by Jack Ethridge, et al (contestants).
