LANCE, Judge:
The appellant, Leroy B. MacKlem, through counsel, appeals a March 27, 2008, decision of the Board of Veterans’ Appeals (Board) that determined that a March 1950 rating decision, which severed the appellant’s service-connected benefits on the basis of clear and unmistakable error (CUE) in the original March 1944 rating decision awarding service connection for arthritis of the left hip, did not contain CUE.
