We granted permission to appeal in this case to determine whether the decedent’s durable power of attorney authorized her attorney-in-fact to change the beneficiary of the decedent’s life insurance policy. For the reasons stated below, we conclude that the durable power of attorney authorized the attorney-in-fact to change the beneficiary of the policy. Accordingly, we reverse the judgments of the lower courts; however, because our holding does not resolve all of the issues…
