OPINION

HARBISON, Chief Justice.

This action was brought by a liability insurance carrier seeking a declaratory judgment as to whether it was required to extend coverage and a defense to a negligence action against its insured, a retail liquor establishment. The plaintiff in the tort action alleged that employees of the liquor store had negligently sold alcoholic beverages to a minor. The latter allegedly became intoxicated and was involved in a serious vehicular accident, resulting in the death of the husband of the plaintiff in the tort action.
