Hess, J.,

Joseph Ditko, a police officer of the City of Reading, was charged by the mayor with conduct unbecoming a police officer. A hearing was held by city council, and thereafter, by resolution which was unanimously adopted, council *570adjudged Officer Ditko guilty of the charges preferred against him and ordered his dismissal effective September 15, 1954. An appeal was filed, testimony taken and the matter has been argued on briefs submitted by counsel.
