On the 15th day of January, 1926, Ruble E. Polk was an employee of Pure Oil Pipe Line Company of Texas, which was a subscriber, as that term is used in our workmen’s compensation statute (Rev. St. 1925, arts. 8306-8309), and which, it is claimed by appellee, held a policy of compensation insurance issued by Independence Indemnity Company. On the above-named date said Ruble Polk, while in the course of his employment, suffered an injury to his right foot and ankle.
