In this appeal from the district court’s disposition of their motion for an award of attorney’s fees, plaintiffs-appellants (“plaintiffs”), who prevailed in a suit brought under the Voting Rights Act of 1965 (“VRA”), seek a recalculation of the amount that they may recoup. The fee— historically known as the “lodestar” — to which their attorneys are presumptively entitled is the product of hours worked and an hourly rate.
