Randall Dueringer brought this case alleging breach of contract and bad-faith denial of his insurance claim against General American Life Insurance Company (“General American”) under a group policy of his former employer. The jury awarded Dueringer $6,852.18 in actual damages and $360,000 in punitive damages.
