The plaintiff, Donald Haudrich, brought this action for strict products liability in the circuit court of St. Clair County against defendant Howmedica, Inc., and for negligence against codefendant, Michael Lukens, a Howmedica sales representative. The plaintiff sought damages for injuries allegedly caused by a defective prosthetic device that had been surgically inserted into his knee.
