JOINER, Judge.

Derrick Lashawn Thompson was convicted of two counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance within a three-mile radius of a school and a housing project, a violation of §§ 13A-12-211, -250, -270, Ala.Code 1975, and one count of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, a violation of § 13A-12-212, Ala. Code 1975. The circuit court sentenced Thompson, as an habitual offender, to life in prison on each count, the sentences to be served concurrently.
