Appellant, Elmer Chandler, who is incarcerated in the United States Penitentiary at Alcatraz, California, filed in the District Court of the United States for the Northern District of California, Southern Division, a petition for writ of habeas corpus, alleging, in substance, that he has fully served the sentences imposed upon him and that he is now being illegally detained in said prison.
