DONIELSON, Judge.

Petitioner appeals from the trial court’s order denying his application for postcon-viction relief under Iowa Code ch. 663A. He claims that: 1) the court erred in concluding that assault with intent to inflict serious injury is a lesser-included offense of attempt to commit murder; 2) he received ineffective assistance of counsel in his criminal trial and subsequent direct appeal; and 3) he should receive credit against his sentence for time spent on appeal bond. We affirm.
