Appellant-defendant is the manufacturer of a hydraulic lift device known as a “bucket truck.” One of appellant’s “bucket trucks” was purchased by the employer of appellee-plaintiff Mr. Earl Brackett. Appellee Mr. Brackett was seriously injured when the lift arm on his employer’s “bucket truck” collapsed. He and his wife, appelleeplaintiff Mrs. Vickie Brackett, filed this action, alleging the existence of a design defect in the “bucket truck” and seeking a recovery against appellant in strict liability and in negligence.
