HOLLOWAY, Circuit Judge.

In August 1971, petitioner-appellant Jones was convicted by a jury on two counts of murder and one count of shooting with intent to kill. 1 In accordance with the jury’s verdict and sentencing determination, the District Court of Pittsburg County, Oklahoma, entered judgment and sentenced Jones to two terms of life imprisonment on the murder counts and a term of 20 years’ imprisonment on the count of shooting with intent to kill, the sentences to run consecutively.
