*86 Aaron Jerome Green was convicted by a jury of his peers of one count of aggravated battery, two counts of simple battery, one count of criminal damage to property, and one count of violation of a protective order. Green now appeals, arguing the *597 district court improperly instructed the jury in three instances, all of which require reversal of his convictions. Green also claims the district court improperly sentenced him by including in his criminal history prior convictions which had not been proven to the jury beyond a reasonable doubt.
