KARLTON, J. *

Defendant was charged by information with murder (Pen. Code, § 187) and the use of a deadly weapon (a knife) in the commission of the murder. (Pen. Code, § 12022, subd. (b).) Several prior convictions were charged. Defendant pled not guilty and moved to suppress evidence on the ground of unreasonable search and seizure (Pen. Code, § 1538.5). The motion was submitted on the transcript of the preliminary hearing and evidence adduced at a hearing in the superior court.
