This is an appeal by the plaintiff from a decree of the circuit court which dismissed his suit. The decree was entered after a demurrer to the amended complaint had been sustained and the plaintiff had declined to plead further. According to his pleading, the plaintiff is the maker of an overdue, usurious promissory note in the denomination of $9,000, and the defendants are its payees and holders.
