One of the grounds of remonstrance urged by the petitioners against the acceptance of the report, grows out of the following action of the committee, as stated by them in their report: “ The committee allowed the sum of $3,023.58 for payments made by Romania Tillotson for the support of a minister at New River, Louisiana.
