After a correction officer, Jane Doe,2 informed her union of her belief that she was under investigation by her *666employer, the sheriff of Bristol County (sheriff), and that restrictions were placed on her duties and her rights to overtime under the collective bargaining agreement were being violated, the union requested information from the sheriff pertaining to any investigation of Doe.
