In July, 1931, Angus John Livingston filed a bill for divorce from his wife, Martha B. Livingston. She was served with process, entered her appearance by an attorney, and filed an answer. Thereupon the cause was referred to the friend of the court who in the capacity of a notary public took testimony touching the property rights of the parties and reported to the court with his recommendation thereon.
