SMITH, Judge.

Defendant appeals from a judgment based upon a jury verdict for plaintiff Mathew Moslander for $1,000,000 and for his parents for $100,000. Mathew, sixteen years old at the time of the accident, was severely injured when he lost control of the automobile he was driving and was struck by another vehicle. Plaintiff’s case was based upon the theory that a tire manufactured by defendant was defective, which defect caused a sudden loss of air resulting in Mathew’s loss of control.
