In substance, plaintiff’s evidence is that, on December 25, 1926, at about 6:00 p. m., he was driving his Ford car in an easterly direction along a public street in the City of Portland; that when he reached the intersection of Foster Road and 56th Street, S. E., he attempted to make a reverse turn, and, in so doing, crossed the street-car tracks maintained by defendant on Foster Road.
