MASON, J.:

In April, 1885, Charles Goff, to whom certificates of purchase for eighty acres of school land had been issued, one-tenth of the purchase price being paid, assigned them to his father, Thomas F. Goff, who took possession, completed the payments, and in 1905 received the patent, thereafter making valuable improvements.
