Johnson, was arrested, by defendant in error William Russell, ¡commissioner of police of the city- of Chicago, under a warrant issued by the Governor of this State under the seal-of the State, upon the demand of the executive of the State of Michigan for plaintiff in error as a fugitive from justice, and she was by Russell placed in the custody of defendant in error John E.
