_J_iThis breach-of-contract action arises from a long-standing dispute relating to a 1996 construction contract entered into by appellees, Sterling Doucette and Doucette & Associated Contractors, Inc. (collectively “Doucette”), and appellants, Angele Jackson Guient and Borjius Guient (collectively the “Guients”), to build the Guients’ residence in New Orleans, Louisiana.
