GEER, Judge.

Respondent Allen Johnson appeals from an order terminating his parental rights. We hold that the trial court’s findings of fact properly support its conclusion that grounds for termination existed under N.C. Gen. Stat. § 7B-1111(a)(5) (2003) (failure to establish paternity or legitimate child bom out of wedlock) and that the trial court did not abuse its discretion in terminating respondent’s parental rights. We, therefore, affirm.
