MEMORANDUM OPINION ON PLAINTIFFS’ MOTION TO COMPEL PRODUCTION OF DOCUMENTS

This is a class action brought by plaintiffs, who represent the minority shareholders and warrant holders of Wilson Sporting Goods Co. (“Wilson”). The case arises from the efforts of the plaintiffs originally to enjoin, and presently to seek damages, arising from the merger of Wilson into the defendant PepsiCo. (“PepsiCo”). PepsiCo became, in February, 1970, the majority shareholder in Wilson, by the purchase of a block of stock amounting to approximately 74% of the outstanding…
