MEMORANDUM OPINION

BERNARD MARKOVITZ, Bankruptcy Judge.

Before the Court is an action brought by the trustee against Oxford Development Company (“defendant”) for an alleged violation of the automatic stay. Defendant locked debtor out of its place of business prior to the filing of the bankruptcy petition and took possession of debtor’s inventory and store fixtures. Subsequent to the filing of debtor’s bankruptcy petition, defendant disposed of the inventory and fix tures without first seeking authorization of this court to do so.
