This case is yet another consequence of the unfortunate budget impasse in Illinois. In this action, a group of Illinois lottery winners, on behalf of themselves and a putative class, sue the Illinois Department of the Lottery (the “Department”), its Director B.R. Lane, the Illinois Comptroller, and the Illinois Treasurer (collectively, the “Illinois Defendants”), as well as lottery officials from nearly every other state in the country.
