¶1 Thomas Mower appeals the district court’s dismissal of his suit against Richard McBride Nibley, a resident of Japan, for lack of general personal jurisdiction. Mower sought compensatory and punitive damages for the destruction of thousands of copies of a self-published book, titled “Straight Talk from an American Cowboy: How to Achieve Business Success in MLM,” committed to Nibley’s possession.
